Description

Giesen 0% Chardonnay is crafted from premium cool-climate fruit sourced from Hawke’s Bay and Waipara. Hawke’s Bay brings ripe peach, stone fruit and gentle mealy notes, while Waipara adds citrus lift and crisp acidity.

The bouquet shows citrus and stone fruit layered with subtle French oak. On the palate, creamy vanilla and fresh zest lead into a silky, smooth finish with lingering buttery, toasty notes. Balanced and expressive, it delivers the complexity you expect from Chardonnay, without the after-effects.

Winemaking

We start by making premium, full-strength New Zealand Chardonnay. A portion goes through malolactic fermentation and is aged in French oak. Using spinning cone technology, we gently remove the aroma and then the alcohol, then recombine the collected aroma during final blending to restore the bouquet.
